Featured Hot Tubs EAST HEAVEN HOT TUBS
Since their opening in 1981 East Heaven Hot Tubs has been a very personal expression of feelings about life, friendship, love, work, family and especially hygiene. In the next year or two they will soak their one millionth patron and perhaps you will be that lucky bather!
Original founders Ken Shapiro and Scott Nickerson are actively engaged in all aspects of operation. Ken grew up in a home that his mom furnished with Asian art and furniture. His dad’s hobby was Japanese gardening using stones, pools, moss, and trees as focal points of the garden. Some of the art here is from Grandma’s house. This lifetime of exposure to Asian culture and design themes left a mark that manifested itself when Ken decided to open a Japanese bath house. This type of facility in Japan is called a Rotenburo and this was a commonplace business for many centuries. East Heaven Hot Tubs has been featured on Japanese television and watched by over 20 million viewers on their morning version of The Today Show. Ken and Scott became friends during college and started this business together because it seemed like a good idea at the time. It was, and they remain close friends as they endeavor to bring this wonderful experience to you!
