Jewelry Design in the pioneer valley

Since her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Alyssa has been exploring art, and as fate would have it, discovering jewelry. What's more, she's been supported in her efforts with generous artist fellowships and dream come true residency grants. Her jewelry is now housed in the permanent collections of some pretty darn famous museums and you wouldn't believe who's private collections. The work has been on exhibition far and wide, been featured in high fashion and industry magazines, big city newspapers, and even on TV. (There is now a growing pile of art books featuring Alyssa's jewelry discretely placed on he mother's coffee table). These days work from Alyssa's design collections have been appearing on cool blogs in foreign languages all around the internet. She's been getting mention in the what's-hot-right-now press from distant reaches of the globe, and her designs are selling in some chic international capitals. Curiously, and in spite of ALL this... her life remains pretty tranquil. Alyssa sometimes teaches and sometimes write articles about jewelry, but mostly she holds up in western Massachusetts, where she tinkers and wonders about how to make designs more poetic, how to stop people from killing each other, and frankly, which shoes to wear with her little black dress.
